Ready for a birthday blowout?
Join us on September 13th and 14thas we celebrate 65 years of the Wichita Region PCA club! We are one of the oldest regions in PCA, with our charter being established only 5 years after PCA was created. It’s quite an accomplishment and well deserving of a Porsche party!
We have two days of driving and social events lined up with something for everyone to enjoy. Want to go on a driving tour? Join us for our annual Grouse Creek drive and a relaxed Sunday morning drive around Cheney Lake. Do you enjoy our social dinners? Join us Saturday night for a meal with the club, and Sunday for breakfast. Then wrap it all up with an after-breakfast Autocross!
We are listing all the events on our website separately, so please make sure you register for each one you’re interested in. On to the details!
The Grouse Creek Driving Tour
Join us for one of our favorite driving tours of the year. We’ll take on the hills of Roller Coaster Road on our way to the Kansas Nürburgring (aka, Grouse Creek Road). This tour is beloved for it’s many hills and corners and is the best driving route we have in the area. If you love to drive, you don’t want to miss this one!
We’ll meet up at 8:30AM at Walser Porsche, and on our way out we’ll get pictures of everyone in their car as a memento of our anniversary celebration. After the driving tour we will have lunch at Shindigs in Winfield.
When: Saturday, 9/13, 8:30AM
Where: Walser Porsche, 10900 E 13th St N, Wichita, KS
Lunch: Shindigs, 500 Main St, Winfield, KS

Saturday Night Dinner at Prost
We’ll wrap up day one with a delicious dinner at Prost. Prost is owned by our PCA friends Austin and Manu, and we’ll be christening their brand new location! Come out to have a great meal, some of the best beer you’ll find anywhere, and support our friends.
When: Saturday, 9/13, 6:30PM
Where: Prost, 134 N. St. Francis, Wichita, KS

Sunday Drive and Breakfast at The Outpost
We’ll take a peaceful Sunday morning drive out to Cheney, around the lake, then finish with breakfast at The Outpost. Afterwards, we’ll head over to a special Autocross event to wrap up our big weekend.
When: Sunday, 9/14, 8AM
Where: WSU West Campus, 3801 N Walker Ave, Maize, KS
Registration: https://www.wichitapca.com/events/anniversary-driving-tour-and-breakfast-at-the-outpost
Autocross at Road Yoder
After breakfast we’ll head over as a group to Road Yoder for a special Autocross event geared towards those who are first-timers or infrequent Autocrossers. We did this last fall and everyone had a great time– we even picked up some new regulars in the process! If you’ve never Autocrossed before, this will be the perfect opportunity to see what it’s all about in a non-competitive, relaxed environment. Instructors and helmets will be available, and you can run the course at your own pace. Best of all, we have Wichita PCA Autocross tee-shirts for everyone who participates, so come on out to have fun and get your swag. I guarantee you’ll have a blast!
If you’d prefer to run the full Autocross rather than a partial day after breakfast, you can do that as well. Registration for the full day of Autocross is available on our website here: https://www.wichitapca.com/events/autocross-6-25
When: Sunday, 9/14, immediately following breakfast
Where: Road Yoder, 1117 East Red Rock Road, Hutchinson, KS

AutoX (Autocross) is a very exciting form of motorsport held at typical street and highway speeds. It emphasizes precise car control in a fun, low-cost, friendly and safe environment. Learn and rapidly refine advanced driving skills and techniques in the non-threatening environment of a course marked by soft traffic cones in a airstrip. Enjoy your Porsche’s capabilities like nowhere else and drive it the way it was designed. AutoX is easy on your car and all Porsches can participate. Car control skills you gain allow you to explore the limits of your car which makes you a safer driver on the street. Discover the fun and camaraderie of AutoX!

This show has been a great time over the last few years with some amazing vehicles. We definitely want to beat out the BMW and Mercedes club for attendance this year (we were this close last year), so come on out and show off those Porsche’s. No pre-registration is required, entry fee is $5 at the gate.
